Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

Editorial Committee Member: Mark Watson

Regional Advisor: Mark Hughes

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh has one of the richest collections of Chinese specimens and types in Europe, especially those collected by George Forrest during his seven expeditions to China between 1904 and 1932. Other important collections are those of Reginald Farrer and A. A. Hector Léveillé. RBGE has a very rich collection of Chinese types, especially those described by W. W. Smith, I. B. Balfour, and H. Léveillé. It also has an excellent library and living collections. RBGE provided a listserver for collaborators of the project.
