This center includes more than 1.2 million specimens collected since the foundation of the herbarium in 1930. It is very rich in collections from Yunnan, Xizang, Sichuan, Guizhou, Qinghai, and Xinjiang provinces. KUN is in charge of production of the Chinese-language Flora Yunnanica and Flora Xizangica.
