Note Beijing and Guangzhou are already connected to "China Wide Web" so
PE and IBSC should be fully connected to the Net soon?

(9) China Internet Corporation to Build "China Wide Web" by 2000

[CND, 03/31/97] China Internet Corporation (CIC), a Xinhua subsidiary,
is
in the middle of a program which will have servers for its "China Wide
Web" installed in 50 Chinese cities by 2000, AFP reported. About one
tenth of some 20 million registered businesses in China are considered
likely subscribers to "China Wide Web", according to CIC sales director
Michael McLeod, a recent recruit from AT&T. Four cities (Hong Kong,
Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenyang) are already connected to "China Wide
Web". Around half a dozen more, including Shanghai, should be online by
the end of July. (Jian-Min LI, Daluo JIA)
