Manager of Horticultural Information,
Arnold Arboretum

This position is responsible for managing specific activities related
to horticultural information and outreach at the Arnold Arboretum
including:
1.Responding to incoming requests from the general public for general
horticultural information,
2.Developing written materials relating to the collections.
3.Managing and conducting tours of the grounds for both professional
and non-professional groups,
4.Teaching courses in the Education Department,
5.Coordinating media requests, and
6.Coordinating public events

Candidates should possess:
a minimum of a Masters Degree in horticulture or plant sciences,
significant work experience in public programs,
a good working knowledge of practical horticulture and a
demonstrated
ability to communicate this information to the general public,
good speaking and writing skills,
some teaching experience,
good organizational skills, including a working knowledge of
computer
functions, and
good interpersonal skills.
