ABSTRACT. Two new combinations in Ichnocarpus and one new combination in Anodendron are proposed.
In a revision of the Australian and New Guinean species of Ichnocarpus, Forester (1992) concluded that Micrechites was not sufficiently distinct to be maintained as a separate genus. My own work supports this conclusion. New combinations are now needed to reflect this change in the status of Micrechites for the forthcoming account of the Apocynaceae in the Flora of China. One species of Micrechites was found to be an Anodendron on examination.
Ichnocarpus jacquetii (Pierre ex Spire) D. J. Middleton, comb. nov. Basionym: Micrechites jacquetii Pierre ex Spire, Contr. Apocyn. 48. 1905. TYPE: Laos, Spire 5 (lectotype, designated here, P; isolectotype, K).
Ichnocarpus malipoensis (Tsiang & P. T. Li) D. J. Middleton, comb. nov. Basionym: Micrechites malipoensis Tsiang & P. T. Li, Acta Phytotax. Sin. 11: 381. 1973. TYPE: China. Yunnan: Ma-Li-Po, Tung-Ting, Feng 13377 (holotype, PE not seen; isotype, A).
Anodendron formicina (Tsiang & P. T. Li) D. J. Middleton, comb. nov. Basionym: Micrechites formicina Tsiang & P. T. Li, Acta. Phytotax. Sin. 11: 385. 1973. TYPE: China. Yunnan: Si-Shuang-Pan-Na, C. W. Wang 73452 (holotype, PE; isotypes, A, IBSC).
